Cross the Hats at 80 Hz on HP or run in full pass and turn the gains down.

I have them crossed at 80 but on ap.
I'll give the hp a try. Still might get the polks. Guy locally has 2 pair for 120 used. Seems like a good price

When you have the amp on AP your crossover filters do not work.
