Going to be picking up a 2019 Street Glide Special. Been outta the audio side of things for a good while. Years ago I ran a Hawg Wired amp and speakers. None the less the goal is to have a system thatll provide clean crisp sounds at speeds of say 75 mph. I previously used my iPod with a ton of music on it and still have that but will be adding to it unless there are better options. The HU can disappear if need be and Id have two fairing speakers and possibly tweeters. Amp is a for sure. Budget is $750 to $1,000 give or take. Ive learned a long time ago, do it once and do it right. Having said that, any system suggestions from the gurus? Ill install myself and no plans for speakers in the bag lids.
Solid setup for that budget is the JL audio MX500/4 or XD400/4, BT linelevelers, DD audio AW6.5 and AT28 tweeters. Probably one of the best 2 speaker setups out there and still use your factory headunit
