I have a 2010 Ultra Classic with a kenwood hu, BT 7.1 in fairing, 4 Polk mm652 in lower fairing and tour pack and 2 Polk mm692 in saddlebag lids. I am not happy with my current amp. Looking for help on selecting an amp for this set up

If I am reading right that is 8 speakers total. Not sure 1 amp will do it all unless you look at the jl xd800/8v2 but not sure even that would be enough plus it wont fit under the hood. You would be better off with 2 4channel amps.

The VX 800 will fit on some models, not sure on yours. There's a great deal on eBay for a new one at $999 obo. You wouldn't get the warranty though which sucks. It would save $500 though from purchasing regular price. I went for the 3 year warranty on mine just in case. You can get an awesome amp with DSP!

That's the amp I was thinking of. I just couldn't remember which model. Thanks Ron.

Front - 7.1" fairing wired parallel to a 6.5" lower fairing
Rear - 6.5" TP pod speaker wired parallel to a 6x9"
All wired to an amp that does not appear to be tunable?
If that's what you are currently running, I'm beginning to see why you aren't happy. The 7.1's, 6.5's and 6x9's are all playing the same set of frequencies in your set-up, but are all capable of playing different frequencies if the ability to tune them is there. The way it's wired that's not possible.
The speakers you have all appear to be pretty power hungry speakers. On a. Recommendation from Gannicus, I've recently installed a SounDigital SD800.4 Evo amp to power my coaxial speakers. It really made them come to life. I added a RF DSR-1 processor to gain the ability to tune it. I'm still playing with it and am a long way from calling it done, but it's very doable for the average DIY guy. Maybe 2 of the SD800.4's and a DSR-1 would be a good idea for your set-up.
