Ditto! This is great info and thanks also for including the speaker model number. Just out of curiosity what did you use to adapt the 6x9's to the 5x7 stock opening? I'm assuming some alteration of the factory lids is necessary to accommodate the larger speakers.

Keep in mind this is out of the box thinking and not proven technology so it is not recommended to do. This can be used to adapt the stock 2014+ lids to fit a 6x9.

Well yeah...of course...but then again, if we wanted to play it safe we probably wouldn't be riding motorcycles .
