I’m curious what the steady draw is, the math isn’t adding up in my 40 years of playing with electric.
i know #4 copper should carry about 100 amps no problem, I’m guessing it’s not a steady draw, I’m guessing the stator is good for about 40 amps at best, regular probably has ten guage wire at best, but probably 14 guage.
Id be expecting worn out regulator and stator as well as low battery on a regular basis.
but I’m sure there’s plenty of people ready to tell me it works fine.
just not adding up in my head.
I found that same one last night and ordered it. I plan on re-wiring everything after I take my annual ride down to the NorCal coast over labor day weekend. I'm going to prep everything to be able to add a second amp and a set of speakers in the bags. I just can't make up my mind on what I want to do.
