Going to be upgrading the system in my RKS. I've ordered some DD VO 6.5, DD 6x9, GZ 8", and (4) DD B3 bullet tweeters. I will probably order the American Hard Bag tweeter mounts for the speaker lids, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to mount the front set of B3s. I have lower fairings, but I can't find a suitable place for them. Short of changing them to coax 6.5 speakers, anyone have any suggestions for mounting the B3s up front?
Thanks, but those only work on their 8" lowers. I called them to confirm this. That would have been an awesome-and easy solution. But unfortunately it doesn't work for us with stock lowers. I asked DBC if they planned on making them for stock lowers and they said no.

Of course they will say that since they want to sell you their lowers. I will bet with a heat gun, the curve on those can be altered to fit stock lowers as the curve in those pods are long enough to be altered. I would buy a set and modify them to fit as that would be the cleanest way to put your horns on the lowers. Then you can brag about being the only one with them. lol
Im just a novice around here but for what its worth this how I mounted my Hertz components. This mounting gave me a much more direct sound from the tweeters by boosting the tweeter volume and pointing them pretty much directly at my head vs having my coaxials pointing straight out way down there. Just my two cents anyway.

Looks pretty damm good. I may just fab up my own mount, similar to your, but centered. I can make it out of ABS or sheet aluminum and painted black. Thanks for the idea!
