Sorry for long first post on this thread. But many ask for input and don't put enough info and have to keep adding to their thread. So hopefully this is everything needed to get some help. My music preference is classic Rock, old school hip hop, R&B, and modern country. NOT the type of music most tune their systems to when at Sound comps.
I've recently installed the following on a 2018 Road King Special:
Sound Digital 800.4 2Ohm running (2) DD VO -M6X9 in lids (Ch.1/2 bridged) & (2) Ground Zero 250SPL 8"- 1 per bag in American Hard Bag mounts (Ch.3/4 bridged)
Sound Digital 800.4 2Ohm running (4) DD B3 Bullet tweeters (2 on Channel 1 and 2 on Channel 2 @ 2Ohm) & (2) VO-MN6.5 on Ch. 3 & 4 in the lowers (only getting around 60W @ 4Ohm FOR NOW)
DD Audio DSI-2 DSP with Bluetooth Module (no head unit on RK)
System sounds decent with good vocals and mid bass, but the highs are lacking. Gains on the 800.4 for the tweeters is set to around 7-8 o'clock because @ 2 Ohms, they are seeing ~200W per pair. I know the system can sound much better with some tuning. So I am looking for some suggestions on Crossover setting, gains, etc. Gains for tweeters are around 7-8 o'clock, all others around 11 o'clock. EQ is flat across the board for all channels.
My next step is going to be to add an SD Nano 250.D or Evo 400.4 for the tweets and use the first SD 800 in bridged mode for the VO-MN6.5. This would give tweeters a safer 100W -125W per pair. The 6.5 would then get ~400W each which is over their max, but I can dial down with gains and DSP output to those channels.
Now my current Crossover settings are as follows:
B3s: 3kHz-20kHz
6.5: 100Hz-8kHz
6x9: 100Hz-2kHz
8s: 55Hz-800Hz
Am I off the mark on Crossover settings or gains? I have ALL EQs set flat. And have not touched the slopes, inputs, Mixer, or Q settings on the DSP yet.
Any help and input would be most appreciated. The DSI-2 has presets. So I have the above settings stored, I'd be happy to get some recommendations from some of the more experienced tuners and add it to a preset. Just to see the difference.
I was in my Porsche a few years ago sitting at the light, and up pulls a mustang.
A pimpled kid looking at me , So I give the 911 a couple revs and the kid gets all nervous and fidgety.
Him looking all around like as what to do..
Then instead of a proper rev back for the race he.......................TURNS UP HIS STEREO!
I wrote all this cause I am an old fart and have no clue about tuning a stereo for a HD.
Seems so strange.
So in not answering your post- if you ever come back with a performance question, I will try to help.
As far as making your stereo work..kids are different these days...
I spent all my money on "get there fast items" and get there comfortable.
Carry on.
First off 200w to your horns I’m not sure how you can’t hear them. I don’t even have that many watts
gojng to my 6.5. Are you sure you didn’t blow the voice coils already?

200 Watts shared which is at their max of 100W each, so I had the gains set pretty low. I've raised the gains a little and hear the horns a little more now. But they are definitely not blown. It may be that I just need to raise the gains a little more.

How can u say you are sending 100w to them which
is the max and then say the gains were a little low. If there at 100w where the gains
are at then u turn up the gain ur over max???
200W at 2Ohms are the specs of the amp I'm using. (2) B3 wired down to 2 Ohms would see that amount of power in this configuration. Hence, they are sharing 200W per the amp's specs.

I've got 65 going to each of mine playing behind 2 beymas with about 220 each and I have to turn down the B3's because there is still a little too much on the high side so im not sure how at 100 these things aren't killing your ears
I am going to take a WAG at this and the OP thinks the amp is putting out the advertised wattage as he has not defined how the wattage was calculated when setting the gains.

Thats my thought as well as theres no way you cant hear the horns
with 100 going to them.
