and that question is, what amps will push these speakers well. Only going with this 2 speaker system in my fairing. I have the XAV-AX5000 HU but I haven't picked an amp yet. I have the Cerwin Vega b52 1000 in my cart but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I know they don't need 500w each but with an amp that size I could keep the gain way down. I have been out of the audio game for a long time and I've never messed with audio on motorcycle yet. I've done some reading but there are so many people on here that will just repeat something they have read I don't know who to believe. I hate having to do things more than once. I'd rather just do it right the first time.
CV B52 RMS is more like 200W per channel and it would be a decent low budget amp. I encourage you to really consider if fairing only will be enough. I said that in the beginning and I'm hanging three amps on my bike now. Even if you think you'll be done after fairing only it's cheaper to plan ahead than start over!

Thanks for the reply. I know I'll never do lowers and I doubt I will ever want to take up the space in my bags with speakers and amps. I know fairing only will never have the deafening sound that some bikes put out... I just want to hear it at 70-85.
Although I had not heard or tried them yet, the new mmats pa coax and wdx motos gen 2 have been getting good reviews. Tried and true is the hertz hcx 165.3's. They are bullet proof and have a good full spectrum sound from a 6.5.

I've read about the Hertz for a while and haven't read anything bad about them. If you were building a fairing on set up, using the sony ax-5000 (which I already have), what would you go with? Definitely want to stay with coaxs. Thanks for the help, by the way.
