I have a 2010 SG and I am getting ready to add tweeters to my fairing. Currently I have BT 7.1's in the front fairing and Hertz HCX 165 in the lowers connected to a BT4180, and 4 DD VO 6X9's in the lids connected to a JL400/4.
I don't know if I should add the B3's or the At28's in the fairing. I might be swapping out the Hertz 165 for MMats 601 in the lowers also.
Why do you think you need to add these? You have 2 sets of coax's in your face already. Even swapping over to the MMats in the lowers I still don't think you'll need them.

I guess because I am chasing the magical unicorn. When I listen to my current system I ask myself if this is it or am I missing something? The other night while reading other post, guys that really know their stuff when it comes to setting up a system where saying that they had DD 6X9s in the lids and MMats 601 in the front along with the AT28s or the B3s. Since this was similar to what I am running I started wondering what I was missing without the horns. Thats why I was asking which was better for my set up.
Agree with SBates on this one. If you are going to put those up front you need a good mid and to get rid of the 4180. I don't recommend getting rid of the amp and 7.1s until your ready to get into the components world, because that is really what you are missing, but again, not to be run by a BT 4180. It's an entirely new pool to jump into and I ran what you have for a long time.

Sorry to keep bothering yall.
I'm ready to jump into that pool. Lets say that I remove the 4180 and the 7.1's and replace the lower hertz 165 with MMats 601 and the B3's in the fairing. What amp would you suggest and what speaker should I add to the upper fairing? I'm guessing the VO 6x9's and the JL400 in the rear can stay/
