good job finding that, i've seen it before and it can show up in a very intermittent fashion, especially when the magnets move around! if you step up to more amps in the future you might look into the Cycle Electric 3 phase upgrade, gets you up to around 52 amps of current, i did it to mine when i made the move to larger and more powerful amps.

Yep, that is exactly what it was doing. I would start rolling on the throttle and I would get this intermittent voltage drop.
The audio kept cutting out, and at first I thought I had an issue with a speaker or an amp, so I had already had the batwing open troubleshooting stuff. When I went I went out for a test ride the next morning, that's when I noticed the intermittent voltage drop off. I had figured it was probably the regulator. My repair guy discovered the bad rotor when he had the primary open dealing with an unrelated issue.
Debated on the complete 3 phase upgrade. Luckily it was only the rotor.

Same issue on 12 street glide, burned 3 stators in a year

so what happened to your friend's 12 streetglide, I'm having same issues and have burned 3 stators in a year and cannot figure out the problem.

My problem was on an 05 Ultra. I was having intermittent voltage drops showing up on the gauge.
The cause was loose magnets inside the rotor. A couple magnets had come loose and were moving around causing intermittent voltage. Replaced the rotor, and seems good for now. My regulator seemed fine.
I wonder if your new stators have been 100% compatible with your stator. Have you noticed any rub marks on your stator or rotor, or have you checked all the magnets are in place inside the rotor? Don't know if you have the right stator for your current regulator. Could be a comparability issue if they are not all the same amp rating. They say if you upgrade 1 piece you should upgrade all 3. Rotor, Stator, and regulator. I got lucky with just using a factory rotor, so no upgrade on the amperage.
