Default Help with new system.

Looking for some guidance on speakers and amps for my Road King system. I have a aftermarket fairing that I'm going to put 6.5's and horns in. Also going to add 6x9's in the lids. I'm going to have to do some mods to the fairing so I can get a amp (9x6x2) over or under the HU. There appears to be enough room on each side near the speakers to hide a micro amp. I'm not apposed to adding lowers instead of lids, or both if the budget allows. Would like to keep as many of the amps in the fairing as possible but realize I'm limited on space. Willing to put a amp in a bag or 2 if needed.

My budget is 1k-2k. Looking for something that can be heard at HWY speed. Listen to a lot of different music but mostly listen to Classic rock and Country.

This is a setup I've put together on paper. How well would it work in the real world?

PRV 6MR500-NDY-4 in the fairing powered by a Stinger 700.4 bridged.
DD VO-B3 in the fairing and Mmatt PA690.4cx in the lids powered by a NVX VADM4

Not set on this setup by any means. Willing to change one part or all of it.

if you are not going to have a dsp in play, you might try the Mmats PA601.4cx in the fairng and the 6x9 in the rear and run it all off the Stinger, or maybe use an SD Evo800.4S.
just my thoughts. less amps less wiring, less work and just about equal sound and bang for the buck.
there is no need to bridge the stinger on those PRV 6.5;s, they will rock without bridging if you choose to go that way. if you choose to go that way get the Evo800 amp instead of the Stinger, and use it to run your 6.5 and 6x9s, then get a Nano250 to run the horns. again less money and more bang for the buck.

Thanks for the info. This is why I asked. Knew you guys would have different opinions and strategies.

I have a DSP (It's the Daytondsp408) Haven't used it yet. Found a good deal on it so I grabbed it incase I needed one.

If I went with the 601cx's in the fairing and 6x9 in the lids I could save money and add lowers too. What would a good set up be for the lowes?

Hands down best 6.5 I’ve heard in lowers are The prv6mr500s. Yes you’ll have to
do a little work to get them to fit but once in and tuned they are awesome
in that location.

I have to agree.
Unless of course you wanna go with 8's in the lowers.

i also agree, the PRV's are just hard to beat, and they are a great speaker for the lowers.....Evo 800.4a for the fairing and 6x9's and a Evo 400.4 to run the lowers, judt depends on what you decide faor the fairing speakers, if you go coax, use the 400 to drive the lowers( you might get away with a Nano 250 here also) if you go PRV and horns in the fairng, use the evo400 to drive the horns and lowers, either way.

I would love to go with 8s in the lowers but the lowers that hold 8s are a bit pricey.

Just found out that my child support is dropping in half!!!! So to celebrate my wife said to do WHATEVER I want with the audio on the Road King. Lets go all out! Want a good fairing setup, good lowers, lids and 8's in the bags. I need suggestions and guidance on how to go.

The budget is now 3-3500. Going to do this in stages. I'm going to use the extra money each month to gather things up. Want to get a overall plan. Then start with the fairing , then lowers, then lids and finally the bags.
