OK I'm not trying to set up a competition setup. I'm just trying to get something that I can hear and sounds good while cruising down the highway. The most important thing is not burning up a set of speakers because I have had a set of bag speakers blow already.

A RTA will show what you have but not what you need or want. If used right it can be a valuable tool but at the end of the day your ears will get you where you need to be. Make sure your power is clean and xovers are reasonable then put the time in on the dsp to find the sound you like and the speakers like.
