Well his speaker choice is interesting. 2 ohm really paints him into a corner. He could do a 1200.4 4 ohm and wire the fronts 2 channels in series and 3/4 to the 8's. Then any micro amp for the tweeters. I just wonder with the budget speakers he bought if he is willing to drop 600-800 on amps.
I think he was on another forum and bought before asking questions here.
This is true. I've seen a lot of push towards ds18 for some reason but didn't see it in competition and no one near me runs them. Maybe cut back on speakers to allow more for amps and dsp? Hard to say guess need him to chime in
Their more expensive speakers are decent but their budget stuff I have been less than impressed when I've heard them on bikes and cars. Don't want to rain on the OP's parade or sound like a speaker snob but there are probably at least 10 other brands that I would consider before using DS-18 on my bike or vehicles.

I agree another 100 or so on speakers could have saved him more on amps. The 2 ohm really paints him into a corner.

Hey guys, I apologize about not replying here...honestly forgot about this post til today. To answer some speculatios: Yes I went with a less expensive speaker to start with because I'd rather spend a little more on the amps. Currently with the 2 mounted in the fairing, it is already a GREAT improvement over the RF Prime speakers that were in the bike. I think they will serve their purpose for time being. As i said, I'd rather have better amps up front and replace speakers down the road.
I decided on SounDigital 800.4S Evo and 1200.4S Evo as well. This will allow me to upgrade the speakers down the road to a better speaker.
I appreciate everyone's input greatly!
Could I parallel the tweeters off of the 8"s? Or do they need there own channel as well?
