Ok i am ready to get back at my bag setup, looks like the recommended speakers for my lids are all 8 ohm speakers ,my amp is a ppi 1000.4 bridged to 500 per side at 4 ohms, each,
I have purposely kept all channels separate for a dsp.
there will also be 2 4ohm 10s but they are already on there own 1000.4 amp bridged to 500watts each... and two tweeters also already tied to the front 4 chnl amp with front tweeters so i cant double up for a 4 ohm load...
So how much am i losing by putting "8 ohm prv or ? sealed baskets" on a 500 watt 4ohm amp channel? if i am correct i will only be utilizing 250 watts each, not 500, correct? meaning half there potential?
currently the amp for the lids is bridged (1 and 2 500 watts) ( 3 and 4 500 watts) running 1 6x9 on each lid if I run it as 4 channel its ony 140 per channel I am trying not to waste any available wattage. the other amp same setup running 2 10s at 500 each, I was told not to run the 6x9 and 10 in same bag without sealing so thats why the sealed backs.
0 watts and 3 and 4 500 watts so 2 channels if run as 4 channel its on 140 per channel
The prv 6mr300seal @250w ea will be plenty of power!
Beyma makes a carbon fiber sealed back as well that would better utilize that power but it is considerably more expensive

I think you might have something confused or I'm not understanding correctly but say you have 2 channels on your amp that are bridged 500w @4ohms if you take two 4 ohm speakers in parallel that would bring you down to 2 ohm, if you have two 8 ohm speakers that puts you at the correct 4 ohm load. This splits the wattage between the two speakers at 250w ea. I believe the prv sealed are rated at 150w rms the Beyma are 200w rms
so if it is 8ohm do i just double the rms? when setting gains?
as far as setting gains it has nothing to do with rms there's a sticky at the top to help with setting gains or you can do by ear. Keep in mind that the gain **** is not a volume ****.
