I just purchased all the equipment to install all new speakers and amp. Going by (mainly) suggestions on this forum, this is what I have...or will have in a week or so.
Stinger SPX700X4 700w 4 channel amp
Stinger SVTK4681 Amp Install kit
Mmat PA601cx - 6.5" for the fairing
Rockford Fosgate TMS69BL14 - Rear Speaker Lid kit
Before I install, I was wondering about the amp install kit. This appears to have all the necessary plugs needed so that I can wire in the rear speakers and still have the use of my fade controls (radio has already had the Rockford Fosgate Flash). It looks like there may be a switch wire with a end designed to piggyback into an existing plug...not sure. I was thinking about going to Harley and getting the Faring Power Extension Harness (P/N 69200921) that plugs in under the dash. I may end up using one of the plugs on the harness for a dash cam anyway.
Also, for cutting the lids, can I use a jigsaw with a plexiglass blade or do I need something special? I definitely do not want to mess up these lids.

Hey Rocket, awesome to see you doing the stinger and MMAT upgrade! I love mine. I have the Sony 7000 so I use the remote wire off of that, but there are two common ways people get power to the amp with the stock head unit. One of those ways, is the auxiliary power connector and it is located near the top of the faring, inside up near the vent. The other power source is connecting a wire to the backside of the 12 V plug inside the fairing.

I have the current amp wired to the 12v plug but don't like splicing into wires and need a power source for a dash cam so want something a little better made for providing power.

no splicing needed. #16 in the pic is the accessory power plug thats available. Get the TYCO 070 connector that matches the one in the fairing listed below.

I am pretty sure that the harness I referenced in my first post plugs in there. It splits that into 2 separate plugs, I need to get the plug that goes into the pigtail, thanks for the info on the plug brand. I am going to see if Harley has both, if not I will find it online. The Harness at the dealer is only around $10 so I don't mind paying for it and getting the one that already splits into 2.
Ah, yes that's what 69200921 plugs into. The dash is where the ignition switch is and there are two plugs already plugged into blanks, so when you said under the dash, that confused me.
So what is your plan? Take 69200921 and chop off a connector and splice into it? That way you aren't splicing your main harness?

Something like that. I also need power for a dash cam so I am going to try and find a plug that goes into one of the pigtails. If I can't find just the mail plug I will buy another harness and use the mail from that and have another female left over for something else if need be. Either way, thanks for the info and I will eventually get this figured out and try and make it look like it came that way.
I just installed the lid kit on my SGS, i used one of those air saws from Harbor freight with the all purpose blade. I know what you mean about not messing them up. Its surprisingly easy once you get over the anxiety of drilling and cutting your lids....
