Water damage? The speaker cones are treated with a water-resistant coating (if you ordered them that way), not waterproof. Best to not take direct hit to water. The stinger is marine-grade and hidden in the fairing, so not a concern to me.

ya I ordered them waterproof. You think its the speakers? Im going to work on it today after work. Ill test it with the stock speakers.
I've ridden in pretty heavy downpour and it was fine for me, but I was on the highway and travelling at speed the inner fairing really isn't getting wet. What material are the cones made out of?
There's a huge difference in the amount of water that gets in during a downpour versus with a hose. You're really not going to get very much in there while riding in the rain. Now sitting in the rain is a different story!!!

its pretty common. You can put dielectric lube on all the wiring connections, it will help some. Otherwise just let it dry out.
