Boom2 Front Amp Cuts Off
).My problem: Have a 2015 CVO SG, obviously with Boom2 already installed. The front speakers cut off seemingly randomly, occasionally when I first power on there will be no sounds from the front (rear speakers are always good), most of the time they start on but at some point in the ride they cut off. Been happening for awhile now, and I cant determine any pattern - sometimes it quick other times it last an entire 2+ hour segment... sometimes when the volume is up, others when its really not that loud. Powering off the HU while riding does not change anything, but shutting the entire bike down will reset it most every time and turn the front speakers back on. Ive played with the speed volume adjust and turning bass down - doesnt seem to make a difference. Have unplugged everything and checked all connections, dont see any signs or places for a short or disconnect.
Im thinking its something in the front amp, and shutting down the bike kills power to the amp which resets whatever cut-off protection or internal issue its having. Open for any other thoughts / suggestions, but wanted to ask if anyone knows if I can switch the front and rear amps to see if the problem moves to the rear speakers. Ive read the S/N is coded in to the HU when flashing, not sure if its tied specifically to front and rear locations?
Thanks,
Scott
