So yesterday when I left work, and again on my ride back in last night, my Boom GTS cut out a few times. When it happened, the screen went black, but every time it happened, it was only off for a second or two. I play music from a flash drive. Normally when you power up the unit, it has to read the drive. In the case of this momentary cut off, it does not show that it is reading the drive, or come up with the Bar and Shield startup screen and the disclaimer screen. It goes straight to the song where it left off, and shows the USB connection, not the Reading... which is making me think that it is not a loose power connection. Anyone else have this type of issue?
It's possible for them to lose power for only a short period (or turn off ignition), and it will not go through the full startup. GTS radio takes about 10-15 seconds to truly power down, it even holds a Bluetooth connection during this time, and will immediately go back to playing as you described. Radio power is supplied through the radio fuse, so I'd check that for corrosion/bad connection, and runs on a Red/Pink tracer wire which splits into 2 Red/Pink wires going into the radio. While you're checking, take a look at White/Red & White/Black wires (CAN Bus), although if they were being a problem, they should throw and check engine light for loss of communication. Does this happen at all volume levels, or are you like almost everyone who runs stock radios at near full volume? If so, see if it duplicates at lower volumes. Also, just for thoroughness sake, try duplicating with a Bluetooth connection, removing the USB stick.
It has happened at different volume levels. It happened again this morning while sitting still just after starting the bike, so bumps are out of the question. I do have an amp on mine, so I don't typically run full volume. Normally around 1/2 volume. I will have to try playing from Bluetooth. Probably won't get to ride for a couple days now, but I may just try it in my garage. I will post my findings once I try it.

I have a 2015 Limited, and my system did the same momentary thing, and then began staying off longer. I lost everything, radio, GPS, gone. So I stopped one day, removed the side cover to check the fuse, and when I started pulling on the fuse, it came back on. So I pushed on the fuse to make sure it was in, and I could make it go off and come on. So I took into the dealer and they said they found a loose connection on the backside of the fuse pane. I don't know what that really means, but that's what they said and it fixed my problem.
New development. I noticed that my voltage meter was running high. Took it to my dealership, and sure enough, the output was running high. The GTS has a safety that shuts the unit off if voltage goes over 15VDC. Since it was only momentary, it never threw a code. According to the tech, it would have to spike for 5 or more seconds to log an error code. Stereo worked all the way home. Took the long way too!
