Hi Guys,
I just installed my speakers and amp and came to what I thought would be the easy bit, I’m using an Alaris scan tool from techno research to flash the ecm however mine is not going as easy as it seems in the videos....
All hard wire connections are in place, access and choose the flash to upload, confirm the ignition is on and bike is set to “run”......
So i press the button to do this and after initialising i get the process goes to “setting” but then it stalls - - then I am asked for registration details in a pop up, OK done that, then I get a type of error message - “Internet connection not detected please contact TechnoResearch for unlocking key xxxx etc”
I know my internet is all good so i am not getting the other stuff......I have mailed TR but its a Saturday so hoping perhaps somebody might understand this in the meanwhile.
Have you used the techno research on other bikes??
You have to make sure and ALLOW INTERNET/COMPUTER ACCESS to the software. (Computer terms maybe incorrect)
I ran into the same issue a few years back.
It was a simple fix on mine.
Did you buy it new? It is married to only 1 bike. I tried to use mine to flash a different HU on my bike and it won’t. It locks in all the vin info. Try going to the top left drop downs and look at the bike info. Make sure it all matches your bike after it scans it

Hi
first, may thanks for the advice.
No the tool is first time used and was supplied as part of a package.....but perhaps I need to check the settings I assume these are on the home page....
This is what I seem to be running into

The techno research unit I purchased was new. It is the centerion with the open program to flash multiple bikes with a yearly license.
If you have the single bike use version once it is locked to the vin it will not work on other bikes. If you are trying to flash another bike/headunit there is a way to do it.

Unfortunately with that warning you may need to wait and contact TR so they can remotely activate the software license
Ok Guys reporting back in case his arises for anyone else.
1- it seems the Internet was simply a glitch which can be a consequence of poor WiFi etc so no issue there.
2 -There is indeed a security code the TR provided and I had to enter on prompt as in the photo
Once done all sorted and we have good sound
Thanks

Was going to say call TR. Chad or Carlos will square you away.
