Help with Sound system for 2019 SGS
New member. Trying to figure out which amp fits best in the fairing of a 2019 SGS. Was considering the rockford fosgate but after reading it seems there are way better options for the money. I currently have the boom upgrade system in the front fairing and the speakers are starting to crackle. I dont have speakers in the lids. My goal is to upgrade with a really healthy and clean 4 speaker system. Not sure if Ill need new lids or if the stock ones can be cut out to fit the right setup. Would love recommendations for speaker/amp setups. Also any vendor recommandations near the central fl area for install and proper tuning of the new system would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
If I was wanting to pay for an install, I'd def be talking to Da Funk shop in Fl. Of course they're down in Miami, but to me would be worth the drive. There are other guys on here from Fl that do installs as well, that might chime in.
If you want to do the install yourself, its not that hard....then lots of options on components.
RF and Boss makes a speaker lid kit that comes with a template to cut your stock lids. Also comes with the mounting kit and speakers, thought most ppl swap the RF speakers out for something much better.

For a simple system, I would start with that 1200 amp and a pair of GZ 6.5 coax speakers and a dsp. But if you're not willing to do the install yourself, check out da funk shop...they're top notch.
I purchased all my components from Garage Bagger Stereo (Chris is fantastic to deal with. Customer service is A+...unlike J&M).
This is what I installed:
SD 1200.4-4
GZ 6.5 coax (2 in the fairing and 2 in the lowers)
RF DSR1
wiring harnesses from Chris as well.
its not cheap, but what a system. Couldnt be happier.
also any suggestions for an amp mounting kit for the 1200.4 or will I need it?

As for amo kit, Not a batwing guy....road glides I have the 1200 under the radio with no bracket and it sits there fine. You can get a metra wiring kit to power the amp. I think its comes with speaker wires too, but I ran my own with my own speaker wire.
