Ok, so I have a 2018 Road Glide Special. A few years ago I added a Biketronics BT355 line leveler, a Soundigital 400.4D EVO amp and a pair of Polk MM652 speakers. I originally intended to buy either speaker lids or lower fairings with pods but... life happened... So I just got an opportunity on a deal on a used tour pak. It currently has empty speaker pods (the previous owner is keeping the speakers). I have the other pair of MM652's (as long as they fit). But I'm curious as to what the best way to wire the second channel up is? I'm really not looking to spend a whole lot of money and I'm really not out to win any competitions or anything. My setup is good for me now I'm really just wanting to integrate the rear speakers since I have like 75% of what I think I need.
1) Split the RCA output of the BT355 to both front and rear amp channels (I know this means no fader controls)
2) Have the head unit flashed by the dealer to add the rear channels then get another BT355 to connect to the rear inputs on the amp.
3) Have the dealer flash something special so I can get rid of the BT355 (this would be ideal because I f#$%ing hate Biketronics!)
4) Something totally different that I haven't thought of because I've been out of the game for like 2 or 3 years and I don't know anything about the new new...
You can flash the HU with the RF flash that retains fade, if thats important to you. Then ditch the bt355's and buy a couple of pac sni-35's to convert line level inputs to RCA's. They're only like 10 bucks or so each.
I gotta wonder if you'll be giving those polks enough power though.
Ok... that is precisely what I was hoping would be the case. Can the dealers do the RF flash now that they are selling RF gear? Or do I need to go to an actual Rockford Fosgate shop?

Nah, even before...some dealers could do the RF and /or other flashes, as some were already RF dealers. Not sure if they're all set up now to do them or not, since the 21's were released. Audio shops can also do them. I had a local dealer do mine last year and they charged 50 bucks.
Yeah... just found out one of my local dealers (well localish) is actually an RF dealer so trying to find out what they would charge. Thanks for your help man!
