Hoyt I have run a ton of different 6x9's in my lids and some sounded good while others have not at least to my old ears. I suggest looking into 8" lids instead of 6x9's because they will provide better lows and over all better sound. I will probably never run 6x9's again since i have 10's in the bags and now compression drivers in my lids. My problem with going 8's is getting the paint for my bike as HD still hasn't released it yet and probably never will. That's why I put in the RF lid kit. Just a thought.
If you do keep the 6x9's then those sx neo's are just damn good and will sound good off the 800.4 bridged. Just be conservative with the gains.
If your interested I can get a hold of that color through PPG and other manufacturers. The Harley code is 98601EEL. PPG code is 947391. I've had very good results with VMR paints also, they have Legend Blue, but not Legend Blue Denim, but it is likely the only difference is the clear used(gloss vs denim).

From what I have seen getting the paint is only half the battle. Some of the metal flake finishes require a very skilled hand to spray them on evenly enough to match. I was able to get my paint from Harley (Flame Blue Pearl) which has a ton of that dang metal flake in it. I gave the paint and my lids to a friend of mine who has done a lot of quality work for me over many years. Those stupid metal flake particles just didn't want to spread out as evenly as the factory paint.
I'm not trying to scare you off, I just thought I'd mention that once you get the paint maybe triple check your painter before you commit to the job.
Anyhow thanks for the tips. I'm looking at my Shovelhead now feeling like a Father that has abandoned his first born son, so who knows when I'll get off my butt and order the Hertz, but I think once I do I'll like them. Those Rockford's don't sound too bad with about 300 watts going to them crossed at 100Hz. I'm sure those Hertz should outshine them by a little bit at least.
