I'm putting together a four speaker system for my 2014 Ultra Limited. I got a great deal on a Soundigital 1200.4 (4 ohm) amp so I will have plenty of power and am now trying to decide on speakers. I will probably grab a DSR1 for the system. I am leaning toward Mmats or Arc Audio but also considering DB Drive, Hertz, or PRV's. I rarely run with my tour pack, so i'm planning on putting the speakers in fairing and adding pods to the lower fairings. From what i've been reading, people seem to like coaxials in the fairing and midrange/midbass speakers in the lowers. I listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly rock and metal, so i don't need crazy lows, but would like a clean full sound. I'm thinking these options: Front fairing:
Mmats PA601cx or
Arc Audio Moto 602v2
or something else? Lower fairing pods:
Mmats PA601 or
PRV? Beyma? Hertz?
Loudspeakers or another pair of coax?
I'm definitely leaning toward Arc Audio or Mmats so if you think something else is better, please say why. I'm not going for a show quality system here. Just something loud and clear at highway speed.
Thanks in advance for your help
So i run a stinger 700 with Mmats in fairing and Kappias in the tour pack. I can say they are very loud at highway speed. I had speakers in the lower fairings, they did not seem to provide a lot of depth at any speed but zero. Just my opinion.

Then you had the wrong speakers and or amp. I hear my lowers very well.
My previous setup was a all 'hogtunes' (6) six speaker package. I was not happy with the overall sound and pieced out my own setup after reviewing posts from this forum. I am pretty content with my current setup and it is pretty good at 75+ on the highway.
