HU Flash for Aftermarket Audio
Sorry in advance, since this is probably a common questions. I tried doing research on my own for a few hours before coming here, so don't slap me up too hard.
Anyways, I'm looking to install aftermarket amp and speakers into a 2019 Ultra Classic with the GTS HU. I understand that I will need to get the HD HU flashed to level the HD EQ for the aftermarket amplifier. If down the road I want to sell the bike with the FACTORY components reinstalled, is there an option to get the factory flash back? Back to factory audio performance...lol or lack there of.
Also, some resources stated that I should avoid going to the HD dealership for HU level EQ flash. What do you think the thought is behind avoiding the dealership for such a paid service? Where is everyone going?
Thanks in advance!!

Nothing stopping you from going to HD for them to flash it, but many wont do it anymore. I think when they partnered with RF a couple years ago, they will only flash bikes that are getting the RF Boom components installed.
Some may still do it, so you could call around to your local dealers. BUT most any audio shop can flash a radio regardless of what kind of vehicle its in. RF website has a dealer locator and I think the techno research site may also have one.
As far as reflashing, I wound up leaving my audio in my last bike. Maybe others who've gone through that can comment.
