Default How do you connect wires

Say its a barrel type terminal with an allen bolt. Do you just mash the wires down, Solder the wire or use some type of connector. I'm in the process of redoing all my stuff and was just wondering the best way to connect stuff.

I wanna clean everything up, make it look decent and, not have any connection issues

I can't for the life of me find a ferrule that will accept an 8g wire and still fit in the amp. Home depot and Lowe's have the same thing and they are too big. I picked up one for a 10g wire to see if i can massage the wire in the ferrule. If that doesn't work ill have to just run the wire straight in

You crimp the ferrule with the ferrule tool. If it fits the 8awg it will fit the amp.

Ahh OK well that makes sense lol. I'll pick one up. After that all I have left to do is find a way to secure the amp redo my thumb control unit and tune it. Everything else is done

I have some too but this amp isn't fitting inside the brackets like I've read. I don't have a decent contact point on one side.

I picked up a cheap crimper and a setting ferrules. Obviously i had to take a few out and just squeeze em lol. I go outside and get to crimping the 8g ground and it the 8g ferrule i had won't fit the effing crimper. I said ef it and used my square crimper tool and kept moving the ferrule to round it off amd got it to fit in the amp. This tool works with every 10and up so i went ahead and did my power and remote wire. Even tho it didn't work for its one intended purpose ik excited to have it. Im going to do all the speaker wires as well. I soldered all of them already butt now i wanna make it look a little nicer.

This has definitely been a huge learning process ans veru frustrating but fun at the same time. I now have hundreds of different ferrules and hundreds of diff spades
