Sony xav ax 5500
On the Sony x a v a x 5500, I am resetting my gains and it seems changing from 40 to 41 volume sees a tremendous jump in voltage, I was previously using volume 40 cuz that's approximately 70% of maximum volume , as I have always been taught,
The problem is the one amplifier running in stereo I cannot reach the desired voltage 24 volts, 140watts, for my two fairing speakers I'm using in stereo, all other amps are bridged.I am running four precision power i-1000.4
Three are bridged no problems reaching voltages
One is running fairing speakers and tweeters, this is the one I can only get 10 volts at max gain at volume setting 40, by summing channels on the DSP I can reach the desired voltage, but is this a normal practice?
Let me add that the voltage between 40 and 41 almost doubles,weird...
with a steady increase below

What does your whole system consist of?
I believe the Sony is clean up to 47/48 out of 50. It might even be 50.

I have been curious about some tips on setup as far as wiring configurations, after going to some sound offs this summer I feel my system should be sounding a little better than it does,.
PRV 10s
PRV 6x9s lids
PRV 6.5 500s, lowers 4 PRV ND400 tweeters
And crescendo un 6.5 fairing speakers I'm thinking about replacing the fairing speakers with 2 ohm cicadas, just to make better use of my amplifiers two front channels, 140 watts per channel is not cutting it for my front stage..

How did you get out of this that I'm running all 10 speakers out of one amp
And what does that have to do at the original question?
When setting my gains on my DSP do I start with all settings at zero. Or do I start at -3 -5 maybe for some cushion?

But as far as DSP gains, it depends on what you want. I like setting it up so that I barely have to crack gains on amp. That means I need to play around with DSP gains. It's all a balancing game when you have 3 different sources of voltage output. There's no standard way.
