Default CB / CarPlay

My CarPlay was working fine until I added a CB and now CarPlay has disappeared. I have an iPhone 13. I had someone with an android hook up their phone on my motorcycle and it worked.

I was on the phone with Apple for over an hour and they said there is nothing wrong with my phone. They said the CB must be defective. If this is the case why did the android work? I have a 2021 Street Glide Special. I have a friend with the same bike and I have the exact same set up. His works and mine does not. I have rechecked the settings many times. Shut down the phone. Readded the device on my bike several times. Used different charging cords. HELP!!!

You need to have an active headset for it to work.

Connect your headset to the head unit first. Then connect your phone. iPhones are pretty stubborn about the connection sequence. Make sure “casting” is turned on on your head unit.

I’m thinking there must be something in my iPhone settings that it doesn’t like. If I unplug the CB and put the jumper back in CarPlay works.

Is that without a headset connected to the bike?

There are a few other threads on Car Play in this section that may have other ideas.
