That was my first thought, they are good quality oxygen free. Just to be sure I switched to high level inputs & there was no change.

no loss, I listen to streaming radio.
...well I also take it back. I managed to get a couple of stations to tune on the new HDHU.14si. Not brilliant, but at least they tuned.
I'll try in a more open area later today and see what happens. But that's the most success I've had in the last 2 radios on my bike. with the H-D hidden antenna

One thing to note those of us that have this radio with the Maestro attachment and using the Power Vision, when flashing the ECM with a tune my PV unit was stuck on "waiting for ECM to restart". The issue was that the Maestro unit had a hold on the ECM and wouldn't allow it to reboot, so I took out the fuse for the radio and the Power Vision finished what it needed to do.

No issues afterwards, just something to keep in mind if you've got the same setup as I do.

Go to know, I have the PV and ordered my HU yesterday. I’m hoping the gauges work for me. I have a 15 RG

Default HDHU 14 SI OBDll issues

Guys is anyone else seeing a speedo error diagnostic code hit when the OBDll is enabled, or in the enabled on demand and you are viewing the gauges. When the red security light comes on watch your odometer and trip meters. They will stop registering mileage, the speedometer still works. Once you disable or stop viewing the gauges in on demand the trip meters reset to zero and start working again. If you check your codes you will have a abs error, and BCM error. If you ride long enough in those modes you will hit for a speedo error. Wanted to make everyone aware of this. Once OBD ll is disabled all is fine.

This is what I got from tech suport at iDdatalink on the tuner gauge problem with the soundStream Si head unit.
(I don’t expect a tuner friendly version any time soon if at all… tuners still impact and cause issues with firmwares from 2016, you can always try new updates, or to enable disable obd2 etc.)
Just thought I would share.

Question for the group and those that have this setup. I have the Sony 7000 on my 2014 SGS. I really want to get the Soundstream with gauges. I do use a FP3 tuner. But I only use occasionally to look at a sensor reading. If my ECU is already programmed and I don't connect my FP3 to the bike, will this setup now work for me? I know some people leave their FP3 connected and others have tunes that need to stay connected all the time. My situation is a little different given my FP3 mostly sits in my saddlebag unless I need to check something.

To that, one more question. If I do need to use my FP3, can I just disable the OBD2 setting on the radio so it doesn't try to connect to the ECM/BCM's? And then when done with the FP3, disconnect it and use the radio gauges again?

Hope this is clear what I am looking for. Thanks all. Really appreciate you all.

There shouldn't be an issue when the FP3 isn't connected to the bike, my PowerVision worked fine and the only thing that hung up was during the flashing process, looking at data was fine. But in that regard, you can just use the radio to view sensor data instead of the FP3.

YES, exactly what I've done while the tecs sort out the issue with tuners and .si

I've never made changes to my FP3, it came on the bike. every now and then I open the software and marvel at what you can do.
So when I fitted the .si I removed the FP3 before fitting and everything worked great. When I put the FP3 back on and it knocked out certain gauges I figured, just remove it until I need it. It's not hard to pull the plug on the FP3

as for disabling OBD2 I guess I could run this test when I get a mo, just haven't really worried about it as as all those pretty moving things on screen keep me entertained as I pilot the Mandalorian

That looks cool. What does "Page 2" of the gauges look like, what's on it? I have seen other shots, but they always just have the one page/screen.

FWIW, I had a Maestro module in my Silverado that worked with the Kenwood head unit I had installed. At one point the fuel management system became problematic on that truck's engine, so I bought a module from Range Technology that would force the truck to stay in V8 mode. But anytime the module was plugged into the OBDII port it knocked out all the gauges on the head unit, the TPMS was the only thing I remember that would still function when the Range Technology module plugged in (which was just about always). I know it's not the same, but I couldn't ever find a work around for that where they could "coexist".
