My only real complaint is that in order to skip to the next track, you have to hold the button for half a second instead of just pressing like on the GTS.
I thought of doing this but!... if you had your music up loud, had to turn it down for some reason.. the come back to it... the mute button would be pushed and BLAM! full blast again haha

I’ve just re flashed my Rr with extra attenuation buttons over on the right (PTT up and down), so I can mute from either side

track skipping is an odd one to me, but it’s early days. I don't seem to be able to cursor control in USB mode, only in CarPlay/Android Auto

there are so many more things to get used to compared to HDHU2014+

flashing the maestro Rr was simple. match your model year and physical buttons and set all the extras you need, which is impressive!

I’ve also got the CP/AA Mirror RDVFL module which is like a whole new world within a world…
but once I’m in wireless Android Auto, I can do EVERYTHING via joystick, which is great! (gloves can be clunky in wet weathers here)

…also found the stated 16GB limit on the mirror module usb, seems to accept a 32GB without issue at present.

All provided by Volunteer Audio, who where superb!

thanks for the update. Quick question: is there a difference in what you can control when in android auto if you’re wired in vs wireless?

I’ve ‘cut the chord’ and am no longer wired.

I converted what was my original usb to saddle bag into a powered usb feed
the mirror-module jacks into the radios usb in the joke-box compartment.
My 32GB sandisk is plugged into the mirrors spare usb slot

I’m a bit fingers and thumbs at the moment, but to get out of the mirror world there is a kind of home icon, lower left, circle looking thing.
That seem to take me back to the Soundstream home.

However, there wasn’t anything musical I needed outside the walled garden so I found myself doing most things in Android auto mode, giving me the ability to cursor control using joysticks etc

when I was in USB source: I couldn’t joystick the controls I found… that only occurred in Android auto/ CarPlay.
Might have just been me getting used to all the new functions

to change the background image on the radio I had to remove the module and jack straight into the radio usb, as it wouldnt allow a ‘through’ file input. Be nice if I could change the mirror background image and turn off all its startup logo BS which lags the quick boot time of the si radio.

but wireless play is gonna help with usb connectivity issues and our shyte roads over here!

I installed the si on my ‘14 SGS yesterday & I love it so far. I did buy the wireless Apple car play module, works perfectly. Only gauge data that works is oil pressure so I just turned off obd2 in options. I do hear a low chirp every few seconds so not sure what that is. Not a big deal as I just turn the volume up. Oddly I have no AM/FM radio reception, and yes the antenna is connected. It’s the HD in fairing antenna so I’ll have to dig a little deeper on that one.

FWIW I’ve never been able to get either my HDHU.14 or my new HDHU.si to tune with the hidden H-D (or external) antenna. Which worked fine on 6.5GT and Sony 7000

no loss, I listen to streaming radio.

Have the folks with the 2014 bikes been able to get the SI to work properly with the gauges now?
