I've looked all over but can't find the answer to my question. What are you using to keep your radio from getting wet in the fairing? I never see any water but I'm getting tired of swapping radios every other year. I'm thinking some type of waterproof membrane over the top of the radio maybe. I have an amp mounted right above the radio and that hasn't needed replaced so maybe it's just humidity getting in there. I don't know. This is on a 10 Ultra Classic. I'd like to never have to reinstall again if there's something I can do to help out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i've had one in place for a few years now. No longer issues with water behind the wing.
The amount of water that gets in the batwing is INSANE! (6.5hour winter ride in torrential rain. this pic was taken 24hours AFTER the bike had sat and before I washed it). And that's why I waterproofed in as many ways possible (plenty of posts on here how to)
had to make a hole for the H-D hidden antenna, but Gorilla Tape deflects any water that heads for the exit

Marine grade radio and a cover for the front of it, not coming in thru the fairing.
may also check the seal at your windshield, especially if its a cheaper aftermarket. Otherwise shouldnt be getting wet unless its face is not covered and youre silly with a pressure washer.
I covered the topside of my head unit with aluminum ducting tape but prolly unnecessary.
