I would always run everything matched.
The resistors weren't included? What made you decide you needed 200watt resistors? You are referring to the resistor for tweeter attenuation? Manual shows 4 ohm 10 watt.
Ive read these instructions over and over and cant find the ones that came with my CH65.2/69.2 speakers so my question is does the resistor splice into the positive or negative wire before the box on the tweeter to drop the ohms? I have a 07 street glide FLHX with the sound stream reserve HDHU.9813SG head unit and a arc audio 720 amp and my 4 speakers sound good and are EXTREMELY LOUD but even at 70+mph my tweeters are ear piercingly loud!! I was gonna install the resistor and see if it takes the high pitch out of it. Im also using the flat EQ settings on the head unit cause the installer I ordered it from said the flat EQ was best unless I took my bike somewhere and had it professionally tuned with a mic and fancy equipment but theres nobody remotely close to me that can do a custom EQ for me. Also does anyone else with these same speakers have ANY bass in them? Mine are all treble and very very little to no bass!! If anyone has a custom EQ that hits bass and treble perfectly on this HDHU.9813 head unit please send me a picture of your settings.

The Resistor is wired into the positive wire going to the tweeter.
On the EQ of the headunit it is SAFE to cut the frequencies BUT be careful BOOSTING the signal.
Do you have any other speakers in the system??
What amp are you using??
Where are the crossovers set at?
How much power are you sending to the speakers?
Headunit crossover settings?
All these questions need to be answered before any tuning guidance to keep from hurting the equipment.
The reason I ask is the EQ on those HU is a global EQ and will adjust the frequencies on ALL speakers.
