I have a 2012 ultra CVO and i want to upgrade the audio system without changing the head unit...
I would like to get people opinions on what speakers, Amps, configurations, they would recommend... I have about 5k i'm willing to spend on this project and would like to get a set up that will really sound amazing. I'm thinking about installing lower fairing speakers, and would rather not, but willing to replace some of the smaller gages with tweeters if needed.
I know each person has his/her opinion on hear, and there is no right answer... I've been researching this for a while and would like to se what you all recommend.
thanks for the reply... that system does look amazing... would that alpine amp and those speakers work on the HK factory unit?
I don't see why it would't work. Is there a reason you want to keep the factory radio? The only reason I still use the factory radio is to keep the CB radio.

2 reasons:
1. I'd like to keep the CB and intercom functionality
2. I'd like to keep the bike looking as stock as possible.
would look at the Hertz HDP series amps sounds cleaner than the PDX line. If you are doing components up front spend a little extra and put some sound deadener in the fairing.
Think I'm close to knowing what I want/need. Going to go with 2x Rockford Fosgate 300x4 amps. Add lower fairing speakers, and change the stock fairing and rear tourpak speakers. Thinking of going With hybrid Audio Technology... Only problem is don't know which speakers would be best suited where. The Bike already has the Bass ports installed. a few questions:
1. Do I need to get rid of the Stock AMP that comes with the CVO
2. would adding the Hell's Foundry Woofpak enhance the system
3. Anything else I should consider?
