I had the amp ground wire to the fairing bracket then. I ran ground completely back to the battery same thing there. My remote turn on I put a piggy back connecter on cigarette lighter plug and used the source off it
I used the polyfil in my fairing and WOW what a difference! thanks for the tech tip!!
well the funny thing is.. that's about as far from a technical tip as I've ever seen but it works and has worked well for many many years. Box builders (subwoofer) to this day still use this trick. :-)
Yes it stock radio and it only does it when you shut the bike all the way off. When its on it plays nice and clear and loud just has a pop when you turn it off.

how about moving your remote turn on wire over to the orange/white wire that's taped to the headlamp harness. It's got a red cap on it. Those are 2 different circuits and you could be picking up electrical noise at the cigarette lighter circuit especially since that circuit is tied into the same circuit as the switches on your inner fairing lower.
just fyi too.. the reason I tell folks to use the orange/white vs the orange/red at the cig lighter is because a lot of us (yep I smoke) use that cig lighter for diff things. The cig lighter itself draws a tad bit of current when used; enough to blow a weak fuse. But the other things like iPhone chargers, etc. sometime those metal tabs on the charger will get off kilter and when you plug it in, it shorts out and pops a fuse. if this happens now your audio is out too. :-)

Not quite complete with my installation, but it does the same thing.
Is this a symptom of something not "quite right?" ie ground insufficient etc...
yes sir, that (ground) would be the first place to start. Are you also tieing into the cig lighter connection or the orange/white wire at the headlamp harness?
