Don't be surprised when your radio reception isn't what it used to be. The amp will bleed RF energy into your antenna and interfere with the signal.

i think you have your facts mixed up.

yes sir.

the purpose:
to fool the speaker into thinking its in a more properly tuned enclosure therefore tightening up "sloppy" bass response. Old trick that's been around since long before I was doing this professionally in the early 80s.

the procedure:
get this stuff from Walmart.

wrap each speaker in the fairing to look like a white cocoon. Here's a pic.
put your fairing cap back on.

Radio reception

Is there anything you can do for the radio reception or do you have to live with it? I didn't know about this. How does harley do this with there amps?

this is not an issue with the RF amps. What he's referring to above is the Class D amps that radiates EMI. RF amp is not a Class D amp.

Thank you for all of your input. I am going to bite the bullet and go with the polk audio AA2651-A SPEAKERS:
RF AMP PBR 300X2
ARC AUDIO ADAPTER RINGS OR HAWG WIRED ADAPTER RINGS.
Lots of good suggestions and will keep reading for more input.
I will order everything this weekend after reading more.
