Thanks for the reply didnt catch that i would lose the support. Where else is there to mount a 2nd amp? I have been reading all of these threads since last yr and don't recall anybody mentioning where there 2nd amp was mounted except 2 pbr300x2 on the radio. By the way I have a 2012 sg with detachable tourpack.
Thanks
I don't see any reason why the hogtunes mount wouldn't work, based on their install manual, but agree with GP on the loss of the horizontal support. It wouldn't be there if it didn't serve a purpose.
If you decide to go that route, keep us posted as it brings up an interesting option.
You also mentioned you had a tourpak, so if you are willing to give up a few inches of space, use the SS to power your fairing and lowers, and mount the pbr in the tourpak to power the rears.

Reason: miskeyed before finished typing
From the looks of the installation, you're not LOSING the fairing bracket- you're removing the factory horizontal bracket (the silver "arm"- the plugs for the TBW and right side switches hang on it), but that's the bracket that's bolted to a speaker hole and the inner fairing bracket. The HT mount's "leg" bolts to the speaker, which seems to REPLACE that factory piece. Then the body bolts to the inner fairing bracket (seems to wrap "around" the upright factory bracket). This of course is a "brake side only" part judging by the instruction sheet. I can't tell how RF amp would line up with their pre-drilled amp mounting holes (I have the SS PN4.520; they're of course mounting their own HT 2-channel amp on it. A quick perusal of the HT site doesn't show physical dimensions of their amp to compare).
OR, I'm just misunderstanding the instruction sheet. It's here for your perusal though...for the price, it SEEMS that it would be a solid option.

Got the hogtunes 2nd amp mounting plate today had to redrill 2 of the amp mount holes to fit the rf300x2 installed in place of the support and everything fit great. even came with a wiring harness.
