Never had a need to beef up a charging system in any way. Your battery is a whole different story though.. If you think you have a weak battery, regardless of whether you have a stereo system installed, replace it.

Ultra I have tried to down load your suggested wiring for the SS PN4.520D I understand there is a differents between the old and new wiring harness mine should be the new one. the link that I have found is broken could you send it to my email? thanks Steve

what speakers?
The new amps don't have a harness with 8 speaker wire outputs on it. It's got 2 rows of screw down terminals on it.
