i really feel like an idiot, but i have an OEM H-D radio, AM/FM/CB/WB/CD-player. it is attached to a 2013 FLHTK (Limited).
i put a disk in the other day, now it will not eject. It makes a clicking noise as it tries (i think it is trying). It will play the disc, but it will not kick it out.
also is it possible i got two discs in there at the same time? i pushed the eject button prior to putting the "new" disc in, the player accepted the disc and played a disc. It is NOT a multi-disc player.
There is about a 3 second delay between hitting the eject button and the disc coming out if the Cd is spinning at the time eject is hit. During that time, the gate is down and a second disc can be slid over the top of the ejecting CD. There is a .5 second window when this is possible.
We do see it from time to time and can actually duplicate it at will on the bench.
It will not eject with 2 discs on the drive, and getting the second disc in there can damage the guide assembly. A new drive may be needed to prevent skipping.
if not what iron said let the door open and a butter knife can guide the disc out, it might scratch the disc though just put the knife in a lil way like just past the door opening
