Just trowing this out there, if yo upgrade to a aftermarket amp and speakers, could you just go to the Infotainment site and download the CVO software and flash it yourself?

No. The flashes needed for the infotainment system are proprietary and kept under wraps. It has to be done by the dealer. The dealer techs don't even have access to them on a drive either. They have to be downloaded in real time to your bike via live internet connection and right into your bike. The dealer has to input your VIN into the system before they can even attempt a download.

Well there goes that thought, I figured sense the CVO came with a amp, and my Street Glide did not, that you could use the CVO software after a amp upgrade.

Seem like HD means HEAD to DEALER more and more...

There is no CVO only software....the CVO flash is just that for 2 (boom) amps. You can flash any bike with the infotainment with the "CVO" flash; you just need to have your dealer do it.

That is only referencing the software downloads/updates and the difference being that 6.5 GT does not have the Sirius that the CVO has

I already have the Boom Speakers. If I go with your amp, your saying that I do not have to have the dealer reflash? But I have to adjust amp settings via laptop? How do I know what the settings should be?

Chopperguy ,,,,,,,

with the J&M amps for the 2014, they come out of the box already programmed for your specific application ,,,,,,, see http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=49 ,,,,,

the video just shows how you can "change" the J&M DSP download in the future, should your exact speaker configuration on your Harley change ,,,,,,,

also ,,, you are correct ,, you do NOT need the Harley flash when installing the J&M amps, either performance series OR ROKKER XTP series ,,,,,,

we now own BOTH a 2014 Ultra Limited and 2014 StreetGlide so I have been working on this new stuff in detail for many weeks ,,,,,,

I'd be a tad bit leary that the BA speakers will hold up to most amps.
