The Official 2014 audio upgrade thread
We have a flash procedure that seems good on the 18.3 and 19 firmware, at least for the guys that have done it so far. It gives you a fader as well as bass and treble. We have only had a handful of guys try it so not 100% yet but it seems good. Any feedback from guys that try it would be great.
Under the Speakers tab:
1. Choose zero in the select number of amps drop down box.
2. Check the box for zero amps, 4 speakers - Upper Fairing/Rear pods.
Under the Options tab:
1. Check the yes boxes for Amp One and Amp Two installed.
2. Choose other options (CB etc.) as needed.

I knew the flash worked when they did it... I lost all sound. At the time I had no remote line hooked up to my RF amp, running high level inputs. The flash changed that to low level, so the amp didn't see a signal to turn on.
The tech seemed a bit confused that breaking my radio made me happy
I have a '14 Ultra Limited, Biketronics 4180 with 7.1's in the front and Kappas in the rear. I updated the software to the 19.0 version sitting in the dealer parking lot this morning waiting to get in for the flash. Printed out the Biketronics instructions and gave it to the dealer. He thought saying "yes" to two amps wouldn't work, so he only said yes to amp 1 installed. The fader works as well as bass and treble, I have the AVC off. I had to ride home in the rain, but the Sirius sounded great 5 bars from max, the radio was great a little over half. I'm happy with this flash, hopefully it works with the next update too.
For those keeping track, this flash gave me the 00_off.bin.
Good luck, I hope the flash works as good for you as it did for me. Mike
BT has a mounting kit for single DIN.
Crutchfield has a mounting kit also, and it has LCD screen that retains the Oil Pressure/EITMS readouts. Also have available adapter to retain handlebar controls. When you buy a head unit from them, they discount the mounting kit substantially! I'm going to call and get their recommendations for compatibility with my android and the amplifier I already have.
Going to be VERY reasonable cost (less than $300 altogether) and won't have to worry anymore about what update version/flash HD wants me to have for their CRAPPY radio!
Thanks for all y'alls help!!

The electronic adapter box that came with the Crutchfield faceplate and wiring harness caused a check engine light. That's a no go. Experienced same poor fit as letsgomurphys. Returning all the stuff I bought from Crutchfield, good return policy.
Put my stock 4.3 back in, no amplifier, but still four speakers. Not going to worry about sound system anymore, it's a motorcycle! Rather listen to the exhaust anyway.
I'm out.
