So how is the sounds quality? Will you be buying some new grills now or going without? What made you decide on the Infinity over some other options. I'm still deciding what I'm going to get for speakers, but I'll definitely be doing the PBE300x2 and the magic box. I'm leaning towards Hog Wired 6.5's but also considering Infinity, Polk, and Kicker.
Thanks!
Took a late ride today. It was over 100 in Santa Clarita today.
First impression the frequency range was much wider and produced a fuller sound. I was hearing instruments I missed on the stock setup.
Volume wise it is louder but not a quantum leap.
Very satisfied with the hardware, and for not much mulla.
Ok Guys, I have a serious delima. Installed the PBR300x2 with magic box & mounted the Infinity Kappas inside the pods. Now the sound quality is no where near where it used to be , it sounds "muddy" for lack of a better word, with no where near the amount of bass it used to have. What have I done wrong? HELP!

1. check your gains and setting. (AP & gain around 10)
2. did you have your HU Flashed before you installed the magic box?
3. try starting the bike and seeing what it sounds like

No flash, gain is at about 8, will pull the outer fairing& see if it is on AP.
I have ridden the bike and it is louder but just not clear at all
Just placed my order at Biketronics. I got the 2014 7.1 with a BT 4180 and Titan II 6.5 for the lower fairing. Can't wait to get them! I also just ordered the grills for both the fairing and the lowers. I searched the forums and found these part#'s. Are they correct?
Just making sure I got the right grills. They are supposed to be the Boom audio with the HD logo in the middle. From what I read, the rear ones I had to order 2? They fit the lowers? Thanks for any info.

If you still have the stock speaker grills remove them. They will interfere with the new speakers. I assume you placed the speakers in their pods just like stock. In this position they sit too proud (tall) to run the stock grills.
Check the wiring, speaker output from the HD radio goes to the magic box, output of the magic box goes to the new amp.
There are 2 4-pin connectors on the amp with the same configuration. Make sure the "speaker" connector goes to the speakers. Both gray wires go to the right side, both white wires go to the left.
If that fails you can try running the speakers without the amp to see if they sound OK. Then check the amp without the magic box. You should be able to use some wire temporarily until you narrow down to the culprit.

I have the exact same set up. You said you installed the speakers "in" the pods..meaning you took the pods apart (split them each into 2 pieces) correct? That is what I did.
I am having the best sound in AP and gain at about 8.5
I have the bass about 3 notches above flat and the treble a notch or two above that..
Check that you have the correct polarity on the speakers from the amp.
Don't expect to be blown away by this set-up.. Mine is much better than stock but I wish it was better, definately not going to win any competitions but for what I have invested money wise, I am happy.......for now....

My settings are about the same as yours. What's the chance of the magic box not working as designed? I'm going to bypass the amp and Magic Box to see how that works. As a side note, when I arrived at my buddies house last night, he noticed immediately that the sound was not as good!
