The Official 2014 audio upgrade thread
i bought everthing on amazon. i didnt really shop around for price they are pretty inexpensive to begin with and i have amazon prime so i couldnt beat the quick delivery.
i ordered my magic box online while i was at work, i waited until cycle sounds opened to confirm they recieved my order and the lady confirmed they got the order and assured me it would be sent that day. next day i got tracking number and recieved the part 3 days later.
i called cycle sounds while i was instalilng the magic box last night because i had a couple questions and the guy was happy to help. very good customer service from my expirence.
if your thinking about getting an amp and speakers and the HU requires a flash just get the magic box and be done with it. took all of 5 minutes to hook everything up.

Keep in mind I'm all in at $400
Please let us know how your system compares to the J&M stuff. As of right now I want to install everything you have. I have no problem spending $400 for a stereo system that I really enjoy, but it better be very impressive at their prices..

LOL that's what I'm talking about. I'm all in at $700 which is still less then the J&M 500 watt amp. I have the Rockford Frostgate T400 x 4ad amp and Infinity Kappa 682. 11 rear saddlebag speakers and Rockford Frostgate 165 fairing speakers. If I was going I would be happy to stop by and compare.

my 2014 StreetGlide in on display with the 500w ROKKER XTP amplifier, 6.65" ROKKER XXs in the fairing and lower speaker position, and ROKKER XX 5X7" speakers in the saddlebag lids ,,,,,,,,
radio flashed from Harley as "NO-AMP 4-SPEAKERS ACTIVATE FADE CONTRL" ,,,,,, all DSP work done inside the J&M ROKKER XTP amplifier ,,,,,,

we just finished up another 2014 StreetGlide here in Laconia, that had a Harley Boom amp and speakers installed,,,,,,,
we pulled all that out and sent him over to the HD dealer to get the Harley radio flashed back to stock, which is NO AMP 2 SPEAKERS on the Harley computer selection menu ,,,,,
well ,,,, the dealer either did not flash it correctly or did not want to, because the sound was still very low in volume, just like a 2014 CVO Ultra, when you pull the boom amplifier ,,,,,,,
so I spent about an hour on the bike with my laptop and developed an alternate ROKKER XTP DSP program to use in our amps, for Harley radios that have been flashed for the boom-audio amp, but then the amp has been removed ,,,,,,
ROKKS just the same as our current DSP download for our amps using radios with the stock Harley flash ,,,,,,,

Does anybody know how car speakers like the Infinity Kappa 62.11i (among others) compare to motorcycle speakers, particularly the Biketronics 6.5'' and 7.1", in terms of clarity? I'm sure the BT speakers get plenty loud when pushed by the BT amp (or other amps), but are they clear? Basically what I'm asking is, is it worth waiting for the new BT mods for 2014, or would it be just as good/better to go with a set of these car speakers? Although I must say, I am intrigued by the notion of getting rid of the pods completely.

Biketronics speakers are manufactured by one of the best names in the car audio world for speakers, Hybrid Audio Technology (HAT) so, yes they are pretty incredible speakers..
If in your shoes, I'd wait for BT.. it won't be long now...
