After reading this thread and others I went with the RF PBR300x2 and Polk 6.5 speakers on my 14 FLHXS. Big improvement over stock, good sound and much more volume. Thanks to all for your input and advise.

My question is this, there was some back and forth regarding having the 6.5 Infotainment re-flashed for the amp. What is the feeling now? Re-flash or leave it as is. Thanks in advance.

Ok, read through 23 pages of information, whew! While I know enough on audio to make my system sound good looking for recommendations for those that have the Limited. More importantly recommendations for the rear speakers.
I'm looking hard at the Titian's up front more so because I can get them done at Biketronics without having to modify anything although I do like the Focals. I'm also looking at the JL XD400 amp but when it comes to the rear speakers is where I'm having my issue. Not trying to get crazy with this system, did that with what I'm running on my SG but want a nice quality clean sound.

,,,, LISTEN for yourself & compare YOUR 2014 Harley audio system, to the J&M ROKKERs all this week at Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona, exit 273 off I-95, Ormond Beach FL ,,,,,,,,

I think all of you that are impressed wit the R/F and B/T stuff would be surprised at how the J&M ROKKER systems perform side by side ,,,,,

the big J&M audio demo trailer will be parked in our normal spot at the south end of the vendor lot ,,,,,,,,

Has anyone tried installing the AudioControl LC2i 2 channel line output converter between the Boom! radio and an aftermarket Amp?

This looks to me like it might solve all our problems trying to hook up our own aftermarket Amp.

Hope this helps us with out 2014 Harley Audio upgrades.

Cheers,
Chris

I haven't bought an Amp yet. I'm looking to see if someone else has tried this yet before I buy the AMP.

Cheers,
Chris

I have looked high and low across the ol internet and can't seem to locate the correct pinout for my 2014 Street Glide Special with 6.5 Boom Audio. I am looking to upgrade with amp and speakers and found a WEALTH of info on this thread.. THANKS TO ALL.

Does anybody have a pinout of the Boom Audio for my 14 SGS? I found a couple online, but cannot be certain they are correct. Looking to our HD community for the correct one

Thanks all!

After reading this thread all week and researching. This what I decided to do:
Go with:
PBR 300x4 Fosgate Amp
Fosgate M2-M262B 6.5" Speakers

I figure the 4 channel will allow me to add speaker lids down the road. Now what I am unsure about or confused, adding the amp and upgraded speakers, do I need to flash the Boom system. If any one know if I have to do any modifications to these speakers, please do chime. I am first time HD owner, I am coming off my Kawasaki ZX14 (not completely), Thanks in advance for any comments.

I'm not the expert to speak with but I'd stay away from that 4 channel PBR. It's completely different internally from the 2 channel, which is an excellent amp. Send a PM to member ultra nutz about it. He'll fill you in. As for the flash you don't need it until you add the saddle bag speakers.
