If you're talking about a polycarbonate windshield on your bike, you'll want anything ammonia-free. Ammonia will weaken and crack (most) plastics.

Yes if it's rain x for plastics and not the regular. I use it on my windshield and helmet visors.

Whatever you decide to use, the most important rule is to always wipe up and down, never across the windshield. Any fine scratches that might be introduced are magnified if they're horizontal. Just my 2 cents....
