I bought a used 2008 Fatboy. It has some ‘use’ scratches on the tank – not key cut type scratches, just normal wear and tear scratches. The tank has the Harley-Davidson emblem/logo on the sides and it looks as if it is a sticker and not painted on.
Being a person who likes shiny things I was going to wax my bike over the winter months, but was hoping to use a good swirl remover on the tank first. I am hoping to remove most of the swirl and return it to showroom condition.
Should I tape off the HD emblem prior to hitting it with the swirl remover and wax? Or is it attached is such a way that it should survive the scratch remover?
