Question Cleaning Oxidation

I have oxidation on the lower front forks on my 08 fxdb
have been told naval jelly or HD polish would get rid of the oxidation although the polish did not do anything and after reading the naval jelly I dont want to rub it on there.
the lower part of the forks is aluminum..

I know you can do something to get rid of it just dont remember
help out

thanks

Powder coat or chrome them. Once it get's to a certain point there is no turning back. The wife's sliders are like that and I have tried everything.

I agree. Naval Gel is very harsh. It'll remove just about anything, but even on hard chromed wheels I had to be very careful not to leave it on too long.
