Dryer sheets or the 50-50 peroxide mix. I use distilled water. DO NOT use any dishwashing liquid. Will strip the wax right off.

+1 for 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide & water. Keep it in an opaque spray bottle. Something about peroxide makes it break down long-term if exposed to light.

I keep a small spray bottle of the 50/50 mix and a microfiber in my saddlebags for trips. You need to wait 3 to 5 minutes for the solution to break down the bugs. Bug guts are an acid, peroxide is a base; they interact and the guts start to dissolve.

Going to try a product called Bug Slide, supposed to help bugs not to stick so hard and easier to wash off.

I didn't believe it until I tried it!!
What he said... You can almost hear the bugs sizle... They bubble up... turn white... at which point they are pretty much liquified with no harm to the paint. Hell, you can gargle / brush your teeth with it.

hydrogen peroxide is H202 water is H20

I wondered why someone has not marketed it for that purpose — until I discovered it has a limited shelf life, especially when opened or exposed to sunlight (that is why it is sold in brown bottles) it turns to water.

You can get 2 qts @ Sam's for $4.00, if I remember right.

Dawn dishwashing detergent is an effective degreaser and wax stripper. I use once in a while to strip off wax when I do an end of the season detail but then I re-wax it.
