Was pretty inexpensive material-wise. Got dashboard console from classifieds here, ignition switch from ebay, wires, terminals, bolts from local hardware store
Underestimated work though : cutting hole w/o drill press is major PITA - they use good metal in that console Wanted to play with idea of using j&b weld to glue some nuts to console and screw switch to them. I feel like idea was good, but JB weld didn't hold up.. so back to original design.
getting right height on ignition switch using bolts & spacers was tricky too. Scratch hell out of switch while doing that I think I need chrome one anyways though. liked black, but kind of doesn't fit with fuel, dummy cap & speedo.
Getting fork lock out and back was tricky, had to read service manual couple times - and still took time.
So looking back - I'd probably rather buy compatible console w/ ignition switch hole
Functionally I liked it though - no more reaching w/ key, just a turn of switch - nice. Never used fork lock anyways.
