Burly Slammer kit on WideGlide. Front Fork question.
I just got the Burly Slammer kit (front and back) from J&P Cycles for my 06 WG. The kit says that it fits ALL dyna models. How can the lowered front fork springs be the same for ALL dyna models when the front fork length on the 06 WG is 27.913"/707mm while the front fork length for all other 06 Dyna models is 25.5”/647mm?
I called j&p and the guy I talked to said that the kit would work on a fuel-injected WideGlide, but it would not work on a non-fuel-injected WideGlide. What does fuel injection have to do with the length of the fork springs, I asked??? He said just to try it and see if it works and if it doesn't work they'll pay for me to ship it back. Well, I don't want to "just try it."
Needless to say I'm pretty confused by all this and I want to be SURE that I have the right parts in hand BEFORE I install them. Can y'all please help point me in the right direction?
P.S. The kit they sent me is Burly part # B28-1003 (J&P part # 702-398)

The kit fits all dynas, the variance comes into play with the included spacers. The included instructions tell you what size to cut them to in accordance to which dyna you have(3" WG, .5 SB, etc, etc). I just installed my slammer kit like 3 weeks ago, so any questions let me know.
exactly what ^^^^^^^said, the difference is how much to cut the included spacers for your particular bike. I have this kit installed on my 14 streetbob, love it.

Thanks, bro! I just opened the box! If I had read the instructions first, I could have avoided the confusion.
Glad to know you like the kit. I'm sure I will too.

Just got an email from J&P Cycles.....the LA Choppers stainless cable kit is out of stock and won't be re-stocked for some time. Any recommendations on a good stainless braided cable kit for 19" RSD Apes?
