I currently have 12" WCTbars (13") now and if i could do it all over again I'd go with 9.5" Chubby pullback risers and Big Al's low bars (3.5"). It'd be basically the same height and feel as the 12" tbars just slightly closer in reach.
So had the 12 " West coast mx bars on my last fxdb I'm 5'9" they seemed very wide. Before I got my other bike I rode a bike with 12" west coast t-bars to narrow . The other
Bike I rode had the 12" West coast sling shots they felt perfect for me. So I went with the sling shots. Oh yeah so when the insurance adjuster guy came out to see my bike in his own words stated all the bikes he has seen the bars are the most durable. With all the bike crashed or dropped the WC tbars are the stronger of the brand. This is not plug for the brand just a comment from my insurance aduster
thanks for the input! I got some time to look around, planning to use partial of my tax return for bike parts so until then I'll keep looking where I can try out a mx set up or riser/bar setup... The WCT Slingshots just looks so awesome and they're quite narrow around 28" width... I'm just afraid if I would like them or not... What's ur input on the width of the bars ? I like the narrow look but idk how responsive it'll be. I'm about 200lbs with a pretty husky build, and I ride the corners pretty hard. What do u suggest ?
I have slingshots that are 12" I am 5' 9" and I love them. They are right at shoulder height and I have done numerous 500 mile days with them and no fatigue. IMO they look the best out of any setup I have seen. It took them about 6 weeks to come I think, so I wouldn't wait until spring to order them. And they gave me a pretty nice military discount so they are alright in my book!
