Drilling Baffells
You'll have to excuse the ignorance... I'm not a mechanic, and don't understand how much of engines/exhaust works...
However, Coming from my Vstar 650 with Vance and Hines without baffles that bike use to really roar, real deep and mean growl. Probably my favorite thing about that bike. All that went away when I traded it in for my 2011 streetbob.
Buying new pipes isn't an option right now, but living in Las Vegas is sure to scare the hell out of you when you ride a bike that's as quite as a weed whacker....
So, to the point, if I were to drill some holes/remove into my baffles, would that help make it louder? What would happen to my engine/exhaust system?
Am I going to lose power, destroy my bike, gain so much power I can outrun any of the NHP or Metro Police on their HD's?
Thanks guys.

Basically it involves cutting the end of your exhaust off (just where the taper starts) to completely remove the baffle and cat, then installing these lollipops to give some back pressure. Cheap and sounds good. They have videos showing the cutting process.
Otherwise used slip-ons off eBay might be pretty cheap until you get a full system. V&H straight shots are pretty loud. $260 new.
